Sculptural ceramic vase by French decorator and designer Georges de Bardyère. Best known for his furniture and decorative arts, Bardyère belonged to the generation that helped shape early Art Deco in France. His work was exhibited at the Salons of the Société des Artistes Décorateurs and, from 1921 onwards, at the Salon d’Automne in Paris. This ceramic piece reveals a more experimental side of his practice, combining an architectural silhouette with richly flowing glazes in deep red and violet tones.
